The Front Porch

Just a generation ago, it was where families gathered to escape the confinement and heat inside. The front porch was the place where hair was cut and braided, parents reflected on the day that was and planned for the one ahead. It was where a better tomorrow was dreamed, the place where neighbors and strangers were greeted with a friendly wave. The front porch was where life was discussed and lived.
